Former Chief, City of Chicago Department of Procurement Services
I first met Suzanne Stantley, President of Contractor Advisors in 2013 when I became a participant in her training and mentoring program. She has assisted my business on many levels from business development and training on subjects like estimating, project management, finding bid opportunities, business operations, financial management and more. I quickly learned the importance of gaining a greater understanding of important principles and how knowing them would help me grow my business. I have attended Ms. Stantley’s training programs each year since. Having her counsel, advice and direction has helped my business increase our revenue and bonding capacity. She continually keeps our firm abreast of bidding opportunities that come to her from various sources that are unavailable to me. Since first meeting Ms. Stantley my business has grown from just myself to a staff of 12. I do not believe I would have achieved the level of success I have without everything Ms. Stantley has provided and continues to teach me.

S & M Plow Corp. benefitted from the wisdom and expertise provided by Suzanne Stantley and her team of professionals that presented to the Making It to The Top Cohort, March through July 2022. We learned how to manage various construction issues that many of us had not yet experienced. The timing was perfect because we were all experiencing unforeseen issues caused by Covid which made it necessary for most of the cohort participants to pivot or enhance their business models. It was nice to be able to schedule consultations with the various professionals who weighed in on how to handle our specific business issues. We were introduced to new software tools, networking opportunities as well as provided the opportunity to register for OSHA 30 Certifications for ourselves or and/or a team member.
